- Once you click the"Buy Now" button on the Pet Portraits page the next thing you'll need to do is
fill out my order form and then gather pictures of your pet you like. Contact me via e-mail and I
will give you a mailing address for where to send your everything.
- I will need at least 3 clear photos of the pet to be painted. However, you may send as many photos
as you want, the more you give me the better I can see your pet's characteristics.
- Please do not enlarge your photos, I will scan them into my computer and correct any picture quality
issues if necessary. The most important thing is that your photos are in focus and show the true
color(s) of your pet's fur, eyes, etc. If possible, one good shot of your pet's head/face details would
be particularly useful. I do not recommend sending me your photos via e-mail. The quality isn't the
greatest and a lot of the subtle details can be lost. In the end I will only use one photo for the actual
composition of your painting. If there is one particular picture you really like, please indicate so on
the back of the photo. If there is more than one pet in your portrait, I may be able to compose a
portrait by adding elements from separate pictures to come up with a final composition. If there is a
specific photo that best represents your pet's coat color and/or another photo that shows the best
eye color please indicate so on the back of the photos. I cannot stress enough the more information
you provide the better the portrait will come out. If you live in my area and you'd like me to take
pictures for you, please read the "Photography Services" section of my web-site.
- Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you have. You are also more than welcome to give me a
call to discuss your concerns. You can find my e-mail address and phone number at the bottom of
this page.
- Mail your order form, photos, deposit payment (if necessary,) any other pertinent information to
my home address. IMPORTANT: Make sure the correct amount of postage is used so there won't
be any delays.
- If your non-refundable deposit was paid by personal check, I will not start your portrait until your
check has cleared the bank.
- Lastly before beginning your portrait I will contact you via e-mail and/or phone to make sure I
know exactly what you want for your portrait. This is the time for us to ask any questions we may
have. I want to make sure you're confident that I know what you want and we are both on the same
page. We will discuss an approximate finish date at this time as well.
